About ECU Shootout

The question tuners asked most: “Which ECU should I choose?”

Ben co-founded High Performance Academy (HPA), the online EFI (electronic fuel injection) tuning school. Of all the questions HPA got, that one came up most.

There was never one place to answer it. Specs sat on a dozen maker sites, prices on hundreds of dealer pages, and plug-in fitments in forum threads.

ECU Shootout is Ben's own independent project, and it answers that question with every ECU side by side: real seller prices and real fitments.

How prices work

You see US dollar list prices for each ECU, checked in October 2026 on maker stores, or on authorised dealer sites where makers don't publish prices. Each listing links its source.

Other currencies are converted at 14 Oct 2026 rates. Local prices differ with freight, tax and dealer margin, so confirm with a dealer before you buy.

What's covered

Unknown specs show as “not published” rather than guessed.

ECU Shootout isn't affiliated with any manufacturer. Product photos and logos are used with the brands' permission and credited on each page.

How this site makes money

It doesn't. ECU Shootout is a hobby site: no ads, no paid listings, nothing to sell you.

To show sellers and tuners how many people this site sends them, clicks on their links are counted: which link, on which page, and when. No cookies and no personal details are stored.
