Speeduino 202501 firmware released

· Everything Fuel Injection

Adds initial knock control, Haltech dash and AEM X-Series CAN support, a Honda J-series decoder and VSS launch limit; 202501.1 followed to fix a MAP bug.

The open-source Speeduino engine management project released firmware version 202501, reported by Australian hardware maker Everything Fuel Injection, which supplies ECUs that run it. A follow-up build, 202501.1, fixed a manifold pressure (MAP) bug found in the initial release.

The main addition is a first implementation of knock control for use with external knock controllers that output a pulse or analog knock signal. The TunerStudio protocol can now run on the secondary serial interface for devices such as the AirBear wireless module, though not on both interfaces at once. CAN bus support gained AEM 30-0300 X-Series wideband controllers and the Haltech dash protocol for the iC-7 and uC-10, with fixes to BMW dash and OBD2 outputs.

Other changes include a vehicle speed limit option for launch control, faster start-up and communications on Teensy 4.1-based boards such as the Dropbear V2, a fuel staging indicator and a Honda J-series trigger decoder. Fixes improve serial robustness, stop a Windows USB hang, protect SD card logging, and correct Rover MEMS sync, non-GM flex sensor calibration, stepper driver enabling and flex boost adjustment. For the STM-based Pro board, the update is available through a web updater or a firmware loader app.
