ECUMaster officially launches EMU PRO GDI support and GDI Driver
GDI Driver controls up to eight peak-and-hold injectors, two high-pressure pumps and four SENT sensors, with DI base maps such as EA888 Gen 3.
In January 2025 ECUMaster officially launched gasoline direct injection (GDI) support in its EMU PRO engine control unit (ECU), together with a new standalone GDI Driver module.
The GDI Driver steps 12 V up to as much as 70 V to fire up to eight peak-and-hold direct injectors and controls up to two high-pressure fuel pump valves. It also reads up to four SENT digital sensors and reports diagnostics over CAN. While it can work with other ECUs that have GDI strategies, it is optimised for the EMU PRO, which can then control rail pressure for two high-pressure lines, adjust injection timing and split fuel between direct and port injectors, running up to 16 injectors in total. The unit uses a Superseal connector in an IP65 waterproof case.
ECUMaster also opened a dedicated base map section with maps for the EA888 Gen 3 (Seat Leon Cupra) and Ford 1.5 Dragon GTDI direct-injection engines, and for port-injected Mitsubishi 4B11, Ford ST225, BMW S54B32 and S65B40 engines, plus a downloadable guide to tuning GDI engines in EMU PRO. Further base maps (GM LT1, Mini N14, BMW B58TU) have since been added.
