Haltech Skyline plug-in ECU picked in SEMA Media's Choice Awards

· SEMA

The Nexus Plug-in ECU for R32/R33/R34 GT-R was among the first SEMA Show Media's Choice award picks.

SEMA (the Specialty Equipment Market Association) announced the winners of its revamped 2025 SEMA Show Media's Choice Awards, in which more than 20 editors from consumer, enthusiast and trade publications each picked three standout products from the show's New Products Showcase.

Mike Kojima of MotoIQ selected the Haltech Nexus Plug-in ECU for the Nissan Skyline R32, R33 and R34 GT-R, entered under Haltech's parent company Race Winning Brands. It was one of the few engine management products recognised, alongside Holley's Terminator X Bluetooth module.

The Skyline plug-in ECU replaces the factory unit using the original 76-pin connector and mounting locations, and supports factory functions such as the ATTESA all-wheel-drive throttle signal and the R34 GT-R's injector duty display. It adds drive-by-wire (DBW) throttle support, an onboard wideband controller, Wi-Fi, a four-channel oscilloscope, 128 MB of logging and race features such as launch, nitrous and torque management. Haltech's US store lists it at US$2,040 (excluding tax) for manual-transmission cars.
