Haltech Nexus T1 and T2 entry-level ECUs replace Elite 550/750
T1 (4 inj/4 ign) and T2 (6/6) fit existing Haltech harnesses, support up to 12 cylinders and add Wi-Fi tuning, a 4-channel oscilloscope and an IP66 case.
Haltech has launched the Nexus T1 and Nexus T2, compact entry-level standalone engine control units (ECUs) that succeed the Elite 550 and Elite 750 respectively. Both are aimed at basic street-performance builds, naturally aspirated or turbocharged, and use Haltech's newer Nexus Software Programmer (NSP) tuning software. Haltech says they fit existing Haltech wiring harnesses.
The T1 has four injector and four ignition outputs and suits engines up to four cylinders or two rotors; the T2 has six of each for up to six cylinders or three rotors. Both use a single 34-pin Superseal connector in an IP66-rated sealed case, with an internal 4-bar manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor, five analog inputs, five digital pulsed outputs, a knock input, USB-C and built-in Wi-Fi for wireless tuning and log downloads. They have 32 MB of onboard logging and a four-channel built-in oscilloscope for checking sensor waveforms.
Features include closed-loop fuel control with long-term learning (with an optional external CAN wideband controller), closed-loop boost control, flex fuel, control of up to two variable cams, launch and traction control, anti-lag, nitrous control and transbrake support, with no paid feature unlocks. Haltech's US store lists the T1 at US$935 and the T2 at US$1,215 (excluding tax).
