Haltech shows Nexus Rebel JZ ECU kit at SEMA 2025

Rebel ECU plus harness for 1JZ/2JZ (non-ETCS-i) with Wi-Fi/BLE, built-in LSU 4.9 wideband and setup wizard; pricing and availability set for Q1 2026.

Haltech used the 2025 SEMA Show to unveil two additions to its Nexus range: the Nexus Rebel JZ ECU and harness package, and the Ti6L transmission interface.

The Rebel JZ extends Haltech's Rebel plug-and-go concept to Toyota's 1JZ and 2JZ engines, covering the GE and GTE versions with and without VVT-i. It comes as a kit with a purpose-built ECU, a main terminated engine harness, injector, coil and alternator sub-harnesses, a Bosch LSU 4.9 wideband sensor, knock sensors and an air temperature sensor, and is set up through a dedicated wizard in NSP or the Haltech Connect app. The ECU has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, a Haltech CAN channel, 32 MB of logging, a built-in wideband controller and four high-current outputs for items such as fuel pump, fan and starter. Toyota's ETCS-i electronic throttle system is not supported, and launch transmission support covers the R154, W58 and Getrag V160/V161 manuals.

The Ti6L lets Nexus ECUs and VCUs control GM's 6L80 and 6L90 six-speed automatics, plugging straight into the Rebel LS harness. Both products were listed for pricing and availability in the first quarter of 2026; Haltech's store now shows the Rebel JZ kit at US$2,495 (excluding tax).
