Link PCLink 7.7.2 / G5 7.7.2 / G4X 6.30.2 adds automatic transmission control

· Link release notes

Adds Automatic Control for 4-speed autos, GM Global A CAN transmission control, Nissan Patrol Y61 CAN mode and FZJ100 plug-in sample maps.

Link ECU released PCLink 7.7.2 on 10 December 2025, with G5 firmware 7.7.2 and G4X firmware 6.30.2. The main addition is an Automatic Control function that lets the ECU itself run a range of four-speed automatic transmissions, along with new gear detection modes designed for it, a normalised gear ratio value and new torque converter/clutch slip and target and maximum gear runtimes.

The release also adds a GM Global A transmission CAN mode, in which the Link ECU sends the CAN data a GM Global A automatic transmission expects so it keeps working when swapped into another vehicle. Other new items include a Nissan Patrol Y61 Gen 2 vehicle CAN mode, a percentage-based torque reduction request (now used by the 350Z CAN mode), external electronic throttle support on the ADIO1 and 2 pins of the Voodoo Neo 4 and 6, an EVO GEMS serial mode, jackshaft direct injection pump types for engines like the Audi DAZA, pre-throttle and throttle differential pressure values, and sample maps for the FZJ100 Land Cruiser plug-in ECU.

Injection, ignition and DI pump test modes are now forced off at power-up. Fixes cover the timing of the first user-defined CAN message, signed user CAN values, and the PCLink search window labelling all Wi-Fi ECUs as Voodoo Pro.
