FuelTech PRO HV-8 injector driver for GDI and port injectors

· FuelTech USA blog

US$999 eight-channel driver runs DI and PFI injectors with up to 65 V boost, configured over CAN, and works with any ECU sending pulse or CAN injection signals.

FuelTech has released the PRO HV-8, a high-voltage injector driver that can run either gasoline direct injection (GDI) injectors or high-flow port fuel injection (PFI) injectors, in low or high impedance, from one piece of hardware. It was first previewed at the PRI (Performance Racing Industry) Show in December 2025 and is now on sale.

The driver uses a three-stage boost, peak and hold strategy. The boost stage can be set up to 65 V with up to 25 A to open the injector quickly, and peak and hold currents are each configurable up to 25 A. FuelTech says this sharply reduces injector opening delay, which helps with short pulses at high RPM and makes very large port injectors easier to tune. It has eight independent injector channels plus two outputs for high-pressure fuel pump regulator valves, suiting engines up to eight cylinders.

Setup and monitoring are done over CAN from FuelTech's Vision FT or FTManager software, or with third-party tools via a DBC file. It detects open, short and overcurrent injector faults, has thermal and supply-voltage protection with LED status, uses a 35-pin connector in a machined aluminium case and is validated to 12,000 RPM. Price starts at US$999 with harness options, and it carries a one-year worldwide warranty.
