· FuelTech USA blog

Consolidated update with up to 7x faster USB comms, redesigned Wi-Fi, Custom Functions beta, compressed logging and ECUMaster PMU 24xx CAN support.

FuelTech released version 2.22 of its FuelTech Vision software, used to configure and tune its Vision-platform ECUs such as the FT700 and FT700PLUS. FuelTech describes the update as containing 91 new features and improvements.

A Custom Functions system arrives in beta, letting users build their own logic from blocks such as averaging, low-pass filters, PID control, ramps, timers, switches, maths and 1D and 2D interpolation tables. In this beta stage, functions can be configured but are not yet executed by the ECU. The datalogger gains conversion of logs from FuelTech's older PowerFT ECUs, compressed log recording, faster loading of large logs, a suspension-travel zero button and many overlay improvements.

CAN support was expanded with ECUMaster PMU 24-series power distribution module support and DBC file import and export. Other additions include support for the OEM BMW 8HP gear lever and OEM paddle shifters, strain gauge calibration and self-check, a new home screen with recent maps and logs, Wi-Fi and connection-quality improvements, Yamaha jet ski CAN integration, new dashboard clock gauges, a tree-style map comparison screen and around 20 new features such as generic, water pressure and oil temperature alarms and boost freeze during gear changes.
