Haltech moves customer accounts to Single Sign-On

· Haltech

Haltech notified users of a move to SSO and required them to set a new password before logging in.

Haltech switched its website accounts to single sign-on (SSO), a login system that Haltech says is faster and more secure, and which is intended to let one username and password work across other Haltech products such as the Nexus Software Programmer (NSP) tuning software and the Haltech Connect app in future.

The change required every existing customer to set a new password before logging in. Haltech's instructions are to choose Login and Sign In, enter the account email, then use the Forgot password option rather than the old password. A verification code is emailed (Haltech advises checking spam folders), which is pasted into the site before choosing a new password.

The notice does not affect ECU firmware or tunes; it only concerns access to Haltech's website account.
