FuelTech introduces WB-O2 Nano wideband controller
New compact high-precision wideband O2 controller from FuelTech.
FuelTech has introduced the WB-O2 Nano, a compact wideband oxygen sensor controller that measures air-fuel ratio and sends the reading to the ECU over CAN rather than an analog wire.
The controller works with five sensor types: Bosch LSU 4.2, LSU 4.9 and LSU 5.2, the NTK ZFAS and NTK's wideband sensor. Sensor heating can be set over CAN to normal, fast or current-limited modes, with an automatic start-up routine to bring the sensor to temperature. FuelTech says its signal conditioning extends the reading range to slightly below 0.21 lambda, which helps with very rich mixtures such as methanol.
It integrates natively with FuelTech's PowerFT and Vision FT ECUs, allowing high-speed logging, several units for per-bank or per-cylinder lambda, and freeing analog inputs. It keeps FuelTech's familiar nano display, now with day/night dimming and a shift light alert, and its case matches the nanoPRO mounting pattern. It is rated IP67 when connected, for marine, off-road and high-vibration use.
