MoTeC unveils FIA-integrated carbon-fibre racing wheel
Lightweight carbon wheel with integrated C125 display ties into the FIA marshalling system for race-control messages; FIA crash testing expected by year end.
MoTeC has unveiled a carbon-fibre racing steering wheel designed to work with the FIA's marshalling system, according to PMW (Professional Motorsport World) Magazine.
The wheel has a full carbon-fibre body, an integrated C125 display and a layout developed with input from professional drivers in FIA series. Its CAN bus can be split into private and public networks, separating team data from the series' official systems. It offers standard motorsport logging plus secure logging to encrypted cloud storage, and race control can send messages to the driver in real time through the display or lights, while teams can also send text to the driver via a CAN command.
At the time of the report the wheel was due to undergo FIA crash testing by the end of 2025. Model name, weight, pricing and availability were not stated.
