MaxxECU MTune 1.154 with integrated update system

· MaxxECU documentation

Adds individual cylinder angle adjustment, 8HP TCU binary 4 support, Hella coolant sensor support and a new integrated update system.

MaxxECU released MTune 1.154 in June 2025. The most visible change for users is a new update system built into MTune itself, so software and firmware updates can be handled from within the program.

For its ZF 8HP automatic transmission control, the release supports new transmission controller firmware ('binary 4') adding transbrake bump, a launch control strategy and clutch kick, along with reorganised CAN messaging to prevent collisions, individual clutch, line and converter pressure values, an eighth-gear lockout and the option to use the BMW shifter's P button for transbrake bump. A reverse-input transbrake mode was added for TH400 transmissions, and Liberty gearbox support was extended.

Tuning additions include individual cylinder angle adjustment, three more extra fuel and ignition tables, table-based boost control PID gains and limits, water/methanol injection enable inputs and a knock trim reset input. New CAN protocols cover the KTM quickshifter, 2010 Lotus Elise/Exige and VW Polo GTI Cup, with updates for VAG ME7.5, Ford Focus RS/ST, BMW E9x and Mazda RX-8 integrations, and new triggers include VW TDI 60-2-2 and Renix 44-2-2. The log viewer is faster with a new compressed log format, and support for the old Traction CAN module was dropped.
