Link launches G5 Voodoo Neo 4 and Neo 6 ECUs

· EP Wiring

New G5 ECUs bring Voodoo Pro features to 4-8 cylinder engines with DI support (via DI Driver-4), 1 GB logging, dual ETC, onboard digital wideband and GPS.

Link ECU launched two new engine control units (ECUs) in its G5 range on 11 July 2025: the Voodoo Neo 4 and Voodoo Neo 6. They bring the engine management and motorsport features of the flagship G5 Voodoo Pro to a lower price point, with a particular aim of making direct injection more accessible.

The Neo 4 (part number 154-5000) can run six cylinders with port or direct injection and direct spark, or four cylinders with staged direct plus port injection. The Neo 6 (156-5000) runs eight cylinders with port or direct injection, or six cylinders with staged injection. Direct injection requires an external driver box such as Link's DI Driver-4.

Both use a new communications module with USB about ten times faster than before, Ethernet and improved Wi-Fi, plus 1 GB of logging memory, high-frequency GPS, an onboard digital wideband controller and dual electronic throttle control whose H-bridges can also run electronic wastegates or blow-off valves. Inputs and outputs are highly configurable through multi-purpose pins, and analog temperature inputs have selectable pull-ups. The sealed CNC case uses the same A and B connectors as the G4X with similar pinouts, can be powered over USB for bench setup, and adds a powered CAN connector. Both are tuned with the free PCLink software.
