FuelTech FTManager 5.5 update for PowerFT ECUs

FuelTech released FTManager version 5.50 for its PowerFT ECU range.

FuelTech released FTManager version 5.50, the free tuning software for its PowerFT range of engine control units (which FuelTech also calls vehicle control units, or VCUs). The update applies to the full PowerFT line: FT450, FT550, FT550LITE and FT600.

The highlighted changes are in automatic transmission control. Version 5.50 adds support for the Mercedes/Jaguar 722.6, Chrysler NAG1 and Porsche W5 automatic transmissions and their equivalents, and introduces more advanced load-based solenoid control tables for the ZF 8HP, GM 10L and Ford 10R transmissions. It also adds virtual clutch and virtual handbrake functions, options to preselect gears for launch and shifting, and compatibility with CAN-based OEM shift levers.

FuelTech said the update includes further changes beyond these highlights. FTManager can be downloaded free from FuelTech's website.
