MaxxECU MTune 1.157 adds 8HP virtual clutch and SEQ shifter support
Improves ECU lock and adds overrun fuel cut reactivation enrichment, 8HP virtual clutch/sequential shifter support and a Suzuki Swift ZC32 CAN protocol.
MaxxECU released MTune 1.157 in early November 2025, with a large batch of changes centred on its built-in ZF 8HP automatic transmission control.
For 8HP users, the update adds a virtual clutch and support for sequential (SEQ) shifters, clutch pressure ramping for clutch kicks, take-off and launches, BMW X5 shifter support, automatic driveshaft speed from the transmission controller, transbrake improvements, and support for test versions of the upcoming 'binary5' transmission controller firmware with full clutch control. Conventional automatic control also gains a minimum time between shifts, converter lockup during shifts and selectable axes for auto shift points.
Elsewhere, MTune 1.157 introduces a stronger ECU lock that blocks all communication when engaged, an overrun fuel cut reactivation enrichment table, an electric water pump bleed function, a TDC pulse output, rev-match offset and anti-double-trigger settings for throttle blip, a maximum exhaust gas temperature (EGT) limit for anti-lag and temporary knock control suspension during launch and cut events. It adds support for EcuTek RaceROM 9 port injection and MoTeC LTC CAN lambda modules, updates the Suzuki Jimny 2018 CAN protocol, adds a Suzuki Swift ZC32 protocol, and includes new triggers for the Maserati Ghibli, Skoda Felicia and Mazda MX-5 NA.
