FuelTech opens FuelTech Motorsports Park
FuelTech celebrated the grand opening of its FuelTech Motorsports Park venue.
FuelTech officially opened FuelTech Motorsports Park, the renamed Velopark circuit in Nova Santa Rita, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, which the engine management company bought in late 2025.
The opening was preceded by a caravan of more than 1,000 vehicles that left São Roque, São Paulo, on 5 February 2026 for a roughly 1,200 km drive south, with stops in Curitiba and Balneário Camboriú. FuelTech founder and global CEO Anderson Dick drove a 1968 Ford Mustang in the convoy, joined by FuelTech USA chief operating officer Luis de Leon. A pre-event gathering was held at the venue on the evening of 6 February.
The grand opening festival ran from 5 pm to midnight on Saturday 7 February and, according to FuelTech, drew an estimated 20,000 to 30,000 people. It featured a display of more than 1,000 classic, custom and performance cars, drift and burnout shows, off-road experiences, pit visits, live podcasts, music and family activities.
