MaxxECU MTune 1.161 adds support for new GEN2 TRACK ECU
Release adds support for the GEN2 TRACK (up to 8 cyl sequential, dual wideband, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth, Lua), plus Mini Scripts, a PI rev limiter and new triggers.
MaxxECU's MTune 1.161, released 20 July 2026, adds support for the new MaxxECU GEN2 TRACK engine control unit. The GEN2 TRACK is aimed at engines up to eight cylinders run sequentially, with eight injector and eight ignition outputs, dual wideband lambda, dual knock, dual CAN, a built-in 550 kPa manifold pressure sensor (about 4.5 bar of boost), Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, 16 analog and 6 pulse inputs, and an IP68 waterproof aluminium case. It runs existing GEN1 tunes and supports logging of 2,000+ channels at up to 1,000 Hz and Lua scripting.
The software release itself is large. It introduces Mini Scripts, a simple formula language available on all MaxxECUs, plus four Mini Script outputs, more Lua real-time channels and smoothing functions on GEN2, a proportional-integral (PI) rev limiter for steadier limiting, propeller speed and slip calculations for boats, and a second set of trip meters. New vehicle CAN integrations cover the 2015 to 2017 Ford Mustang S550 and, in beta, the 2017 Lotus Elise/Exige, and new cam triggers include the Subaru FA20DIT, Nissan VR38DETT and Gen 3 Ford Coyote.
Other changes include an ARM64 USB driver, a Mercedes M648 oil sensor, output enable/disable controls, VVT PID tables, a 1920x1080 minimum screen resolution and Wi-Fi scanning off by default.
