MaxxECU MTune 1.158 adds support for GEN2 RACE ECU

· MaxxECU documentation

Release adds GEN2 RACE support (16 injector/12 ignition outputs) plus dual-bank ignition and lambda tables and a Nissan VK56VD trigger.

MaxxECU's MTune 1.158, released 18 November 2025, added support for the MaxxECU GEN2 RACE engine control unit. The GEN2 RACE runs up to 12 cylinders sequentially with 16 injector and 12 ignition outputs, 24 analog and 8 pulse inputs, dual wideband lambda, dual knock, dual CAN, a 550 kPa internal manifold pressure sensor, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and an IP68 aluminium case. MaxxECU says its tables are eight times larger than GEN1 and that it can log all of its 2,000+ channels at 1,000 Hz, while remaining compatible with GEN1 tunes.

The software update also introduced dual-bank ignition and lambda target tables with per-bank knock trim, a lambda filter, live-log saving up to ten times faster with a new log format, a Nissan VK56VD crank/cam pattern with VVT control, extra analog input filters and auto-configured coolant and intake temperature failsafes, and new PDM CAN input value types.

Fixes addressed encrypted tune files, an RPM reading error of up to 0.5%, and incorrect end-of-injection angles when pulse widths differed widely between cylinders. Log packages were also reformatted to avoid being blocked by Gmail's security filter.
